The narration has a murmured, literary quality that I found most reminiscent of Malcolm McDowell’s for A Clockwork Orange. It is used sparingly, to aid the film’s atmosphere, to reveal the inner thoughts of Humbert, and to simply convey the beauty of Nabokov’s prose - never for dull…
